The paper presented the reality that water is not all renewable, thus it must be used wisely. Water demand management requires the determination of the full economic value of water and the formulation of a pricing scheme that will ensure the recovery ofhis cost from users. Prices that do not cover the full cost of water results in wasteful and inefficient use. Phrased positively, implementation of efficient prices for water can result in efforts to conserve existing supplies of water.
