In January 2019, the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) engaged a Joint Venture (JV) for the Formulation of a Master Plan for the Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Development (SUID) in General Santos City (GSC). The composition of the JV was as follows: (1) Orient Integrated Development Consultants, Inc. or OIDCI (Lead Firm); (2) Engineering and Development Corporation of the Philippines (EDCOP); (3) Pacific Rim Innovation and Management Exponents, Inc. (PRIMEX); and (4) CEST Incorporated (CEST).
The general objective of the assignment was to formulate a General Santos City SUID Master Plan that will guide decision-makers in preparing and approving plans, policies and programs/activities/projects (PAPs) for implementation in the urban center and that will ultimately improve the following features of the city's competitiveness, security and resiliency from disaster, and General urban conditions
Components of the said Master Plan:
Component 1 is the Strategic Plan/Master Plan; and
Component 2 is the Pre-Feasibility Formulation/ Master
Plan Fine Tuning.
