Dr. Homer Yabut is a licensed psychologist, associate professor in the Department of Psychology of De La Salle University (DLSU), and currently the director of the DLSU-Social Development Research Center. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology from DLSU. He also obtained internationally and locally funded research about maternal and neonatal health services, scholarships in the Philippines, indigenous cultures in the Philippines, and Department of Social Welfare and Development case management systems and practices. Previously, he was affiliated with Mahidol University (Thailand) and Sophia University (Japan) as an Associate Visiting Professor.

His research includes religion and spirituality, collective actions, religious mass gatherings, and political psychology. Dr. Yabut presented his paper titled “Conservation Behavior among Students in a University in Metro Manila: The Moderating Role of Attitudes on the Impact of Environmental Knowledge” during a SERP-P knowledge sharing forum on the theme “Capacitating and Investing in the Youth for a Productive and Resilient Future”.
