Dr. Arlene B. Inocencio is a professor at the De La Salle University-School of Economics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of San Carlos. She obtained her Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from the University of the Philippines-School of Economics. Before joining DLSU, she served as an economist at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI). She also served as a research fellow at the Philippine Institute for Development Studies.

She worked in various countries, including the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Thailand, Cambodia, India, and some sub-Saharan African countries as an IWMI staff and as a consultant of the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, Food and Agriculture Organization, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, International Fund for Agricultural Development, and some international consulting firms.

Her areas of interest include agriculture, irrigation, and provincial product accounts.
