The study hopes to fill the gap between the significance of social networks and practices of middle and lower class families on political practices. It attempts to explore the ways in which processes occurring within the family such as socialization, deision-making and authority patterns might reinforce or undermine certain democratic values and behavior. Specifically it seeks to identify the values, norms and practices operative in family processes.
