THE PHILIPPINE-BELGIAN PILOT PROJECT AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN WOMEN


The study examines the problem of trafficking from socio-cultural, economic and legal perspectives based on the following objectives: 1) to examine the size and magnitude of trafficking in women and estimate the economic and monetary costs and benefits athe micro and macro levels; 2) to analyze the institutional and socio-cultural elements of the phenomenon; 3) to evaluate the existing framework of legal protection for these women and 4) to propose intervention policies, programs and laws.
