NATURAL RESOURCES, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND THE STATE: THE PHILIPPINE EXPERIENCE


Divided into three parts, the monograph takes as its starting point the peculiar definition of the environment problem for a less developed country like the Philippines. A cursory review of the relationship between nature and the economy both from the pespective of the Economics discipline and historical practice is given in the first part while the second part presents a conceptual frmework of analysis and the factors facilitating the degradation of ecological zones in the country.
