This manual aims to examine the existing mechanisms for legal protection afforded by the Philippines as a sending country to migrant workers specifically in the domestic and service sectors, with particular focus on Republic Act no. 8042. This too will gve background on the policies and laws governing foreign workers, specifically in the domestic and service sectors, and offer insights on how these laws have either helped or hindered the protection of migrant workers in the said categories.
