This volume explored the so-called communication gap between the pacesetting urban centers and the laggard rural areas. This peculiar interest of the Institute stems from the fact of its interdisciplinary approach to reality--which demand that one speciaist communicate with another but also, and more important, from the more general circumstances in which the Institute finds itself.
