LABOR, HRD AND GLOBALIZATION: THE FILIPINO WORKER IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY (AN INTEGRATIVE REPORT)


With the fall of protectionism and breakdown of centrally planned government, Filipino workers are greatly exposed to the uncertainties that come along with globalization. This include the fear of immiserization, the possibility of unemployment, the concrn of labor standards, the dismay over worker participation and the inadequacy of higher educational institutions. The crucial role of the state is to create and strengthen the institutions that can provide economic programs and incentives.
