As part of the holistic approach of Zamboanga Peninsula in its pursuit towards socio- economic transformation and sustainable development, the region monitored a total of 162 indicators relative to the attainment of the SDGs, of which 68 were global SDGIs, 20 were proxy, 22 were supplemental, and 52 were unique indicators identified by concerned regional line agencies.
The time distance measure further revealed that the region was able to accomplish 34 SDG indicators ahead of the expected schedule, and 10 indicators within schedule. However, indicators under the social development sector had the highest number of indicators with accomplishments behind schedule, accounting for 38 SDG indicators with lagging performance, followed by the economic development sector with 7, environment with 6, and peace and security with 3.
