This paper examines the channels in which labor sector are affected by the slowdown in the economy. It also examines the effects of crisis on the various dimensions of the Philippine labor market, including the levels of labor utilization, productivity ad wages. The paper also traced the response of government, business and trade union sectors on the crisis and assessed the sufficiency of these response.
