POLLUTION PATTERNS FROM DISCHARGES OF A MARINE OUTFALL

The pollution patterns due to discharges from a marine outfall in the costal waters of Southern Lingayen Gulf are studied. The variations of these patterns corresponding to different prevailing winds are obtained by using a mathematical model of the GulfSimulations using the model show that the pollution patterns are highly dependent on the prevailing wind. Winds blowing from south to north result in the highest pollutant concentrations near the shorelines.
