Process documentation research is one of the methodologies that social scientists have developed to provide the processes and contextual data required for agency capability building toward effective program implementation. PDR has since become an importat tool for social learning as it highlights the dynamics and levels of agency and community decision-making. It has also significantly challenged and expanded the roles of social scientists in the developing process.
