MACROECONOMIC POLICIES, OLD AGE SECURITY AND THE DEMAND FOR CHILDREN


The paper aims to formulate a general framework of population momentum that will analyze the impact of macroeconomic variables on demand for children, to identify and empirically measure the determinants of demand for children viewed as capital asset, ad to suggest possible ways or policies to reduce population growth.
