This report is divided into 6 sections. Following the introduction is the presentation of th three cases depicting the LGU-CBFM (Community-based Forest Management) experiences. The third section provides an analysis of the evolving patterns of LGU involvment in CBFM, either as direct participation or resistance. The fourth section puts forward three variables that explain the way the LGUs participate in CBFM initiatives, while the fifth generate insights and lessons from the LGU-CBFM experience
