This paper is a discussion of the situation of women in higher education particularly reflected in the commitments made in the UN Fourth World Conference on Women. It identifies some gaps and at the same time, best practices in the implementation of theeijing Plan of Action. It explores in a reflective mode, some changes for women in Philippine campuses and shares personal experience on women and the culture of universities.
