The paper examines the role agrarian reform has played in helping reduce poverty in the Philippine countryside (based on available data from past studies addressing the impact of agrarian reform in the country). The assessment is focused on economic or icome poverty. It also addresses impacts on the social dimension of poverty only qualitatively.
