Envisioning the restoration and enhancement of the role of Intramuros as a cosmopolitan center of the country, as it was during the 16th to the early 20th century, the article presents two development plans for the walled city. One proposal is for Intramuros to be a cultural/historical center which shall be a living museum of art of the medieval times. The other is a development plan for an embassy district, without losing the area’s historical merit.
