FSI CC 2015-10: Getting a Slice of the Pie: The Philippines in ASEAN- South Korea Relations

ASEAN’s “strategic partnership” with South Korea amplified existing avenues for economic cooperation and people-to-people exchange with its member states; however, this is not observed in the Philippines due to the limitations in its tourism and local industries. The Philippines can maximize this opportunity to strengthen its relationship with South Korea by improving its infrastructure and investment climate that would attract Korean businesses and visitors.
