In Metro Manila, one of the contributing factors to transportation problems is the inefficiency of the behaviors of transferring passengers. Most of the urban core has no enhancement facilities for promoting the smooth flow of transferring behaviors of passengers even though the modal splits of public transport are quite high. In this regard, the author tries to comprehend the situation of transferring points in Metro Manila. Through the identification of the problems of the terminal areas, there is a necessity to examine more closely, the characteristics of loading and unloading points within terminal area. This survey has two approaches: to get the physical, operational and financial information on all terminal sites in Metro Manila and to grasp the operational or running characteristics in detail of Jeepneys at the terminal site. This survey is conducted in one terminal site, Philcoa - U.P. Jeepney terminal. From the initial survey, the characteristics of present terminal site are comprehended and their uniqueness is discussed. The succeeding survey is made to examine the usage of terminal sites by taking note of the deference of time periods.
