Recent developments on health sector point to the emerging national interests on health. Not only health has been included as a right in the Philippine Constitution but international donor agencies are providing increasing support to the health sector as well. Hence, a review of developments should be put in place. This article provides the reader a brief introduction of the major research results, issues and initiatives in the Philippine health care. It covers three major aspects: demand, organization and input supply.
