The Central Visayas Regional Development Plan (RDP) 2017-2022 Midterm Update was formulated to ensure that the gains from the reforms, programs and projects instituted in the first half of the RDP’s implementation are sustained. It highlights the role of the region in achieving the Ambisyon Natin 2040 which embodies the long-term vision and aspirations of the Filipino people for themselves and their country in the next 25 years. While the RDP continues to adopt the current chapters of the RDP, an additional chapter on migration and development was added to highlight the important role of international migration and the contribution of Overseas Filipinos in the socioeconomic development of Central Visayas.
