The Central Visayas Regional Economic Situationer (RES), also known as RES, is prepared quarterly by the National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office 7 (NEDA 7) to provide preliminary information on the performance of the regional economy during the reference period in the meantime that the Regional Income Accounts as prepared by the Philippine Statistics Authority are not yet available. The RES report, however, does not intend to replace the Regional Income Account, which is the official estimate of the regional economic performance for a particular period. The RES also provides the economic outlook of the region, based on the information presented.
