DLSU-Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance

The Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance (JRIG) is a private research and training organization based at the De La Salle University (DLSU)-Manila. DLSU-JRIG promotes integrity, innovation, and inclusiveness in governance and policy through research, training, and community engagement. It cooperates with government offices, civil society organizations, private sector entities, academic institutions, and donors in conducting programs and projects that generate data and knowledge to improve governance and policy outcomes.

Founded in 2001 as the La Salle Institute of Governance, it was renamed DLSU-Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance in 2021 in honor of the late Jesse M. Robredo for his exemplary achievements in public service. An alumnus of DLSU, Robredo served as the secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government and mayor of Naga City.

DLSU-JRIG has continuously produced a wealth of knowledge products from various studies and engagements in local governance, decentralization, budget monitoring, sustainability, and other topics. It firmly believes that research is integral to national development and nation-building.
