TC-PIDS SP 1986-07: Possibilities of Securing Trade Concessions from the GATT New Round of Multilateral Trade Negotiations

This paper examines the possibilities of the Philippines obtaining concessions on the new round of Multilateral Negotiations from major trading partners in exchange for the tariff reduction and import licensing liberalization. Constraints in data particularly on non-tariff measures that affect exports allow the study to be indicative only and at best to provide the Philippine delegates with a working basis.
