This volume has been planned by Encarnacion and Choo and carried out by Bautista and Pernia under the auspices of PIDS and UPSE. The topics covered are wide-ranging: from agricultural modernization to rural-urban income differentials and family planning. Report on age structure and development in ASEAN and Japan is also included and so is the relevance of Japanís experience to contemporary economic development. Developmental articles on Taiwan, Hawaii, Sri Lanka and Thailand are also contained in this book.
