The Indo-Pacific has become Australia's compelling logic for its strategic and defence planning as reflected in its latest Defence and Foreign Policy White Papers. As the future of ASEAN-Australia cooperation may hinge upon maintaining peace in the Indo-Pacific, there must be a clear, agreed, strategic definition of the Indo-Pacific concept between ASEAN and Australia.
