The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) held the Regional Forum on Farms, Food, and Futures: Toward Inclusive and Sustainable Agricultural and Rural Development in Southeast Asia on 7 December 2016 in Los Baños, Laguna.
The forum highlighted contemporary issues in inclusive and sustainable agricultural and rural development (ISARD) in Southeast Asia that affect food security and poverty alleviation efforts, specifically converging on the themes of social inclusion, sustainability, institutions and governance, and regional and subregional integration. The forum served as a venue to discuss and analyze recommendations that may guide further actions, policies, and initiatives of various stakeholders in the agriculture and rural sectors of Southeast Asia.
