The study looks into the empirical data from three study populations: an urban sample of women from Bolivia,
urban and rural samples in Zimbabwe and samples of women and men in the Philippines. It provides an assessment of relationships between contraceptive use and decreased fertility. It also assesses whether number of children is associated with women's work status. It takes a look at the effects of women's educational level and work experience on contraceptive use, fertility level and current work. Finally it discusses the effects of partners on women’s contraceptive use, fertility level and current work.
