Urban Development and Administration in the Philippines: An Institutional Response


The paper discusses the institutionalization of a central organization encompassing all areas of urban development as a response to the development problems of the country. Mainly, the first part tackles the politico-administrative framework during the Marcos administration, where most of the institutional changes took place, and the second part documents the evolution of institutions for urban administration in the country.
