The third year of implementation of the Bicol Regional Development Plan (RDP) 2017-2022 achieved significant milestones under the three strategic pillars of malasakit, pagbabago, and patuloy na pag-unlad, and the support strategies as laid out in the overall development framework. The Regional Development Report for CY 2019 discusses these accomplishments in detail, including the priority strategies, projects, and activities to move forward and ensure that development targets are attained by the end of the plan period. Official data on the 2019 gross regional domestic product and poverty incidence are not yet available as of writing, but other major plan target indicators show mixed results. The regional inflation rate, after high fluctuations in 2018, stabilized to an average of 2.8 percent in 2019, thereby attaining the plan target.
