The present paper focuses on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Philippine Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector. It provides an overview of the devastation caused by the pandemic on MSMEs, which comprise 99.5% of enterprises in the country (PSA 2019). The paper then discusses the different responses of the government, the academe, and other stakeholders, as well as presents policy recommendations for the short term and long haul.
