Moratorium in the South China Sea: Charting a Course Towards Peace

The paper explores how the concept of moratorium is applied in State practice to peacefully manage a dispute. Inherent in the 2002 Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, the concept of moratorium is reiterated to prevent the escalation of tension in the region.
