Land Use Conversion and the Development Prospects of Malolos, Bulacan

The paper studies the trends/practices of land conversion in Malolos and its implications on the development of the said town. The paper describes Malolos to be fast losing its agricultural lands because of the dying agricultural industry, pressures of market forces, lack of government support and its lack of physical framework plan. Such unregulated conversion brings about premature urbanization and a host of problems associated with it.
