Providing productive employment is widely recognized as an effective means of lifting people out of poverty. Using the results of the Labor Force Survey (LFS) conducted quarterly by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), this publication provides an overview of labor and employment statistics in the Philippines to show how the country has fared so far in its employment agenda. It presents key labor and employment indicators including the labor force participation rate, employment rate, underemployment rate, and unemployment rate to shed light on the current state of employment in the Philippines. It also puts forth several measures designed to stimulate investments, foster job creation, facilitate skills development, and enhance the employment situation in the Philippines. By prioritizing and investing in decent and productive employment, societies can make significant strides in reducing poverty and creating a more equitable and prosperous future for all.
