This report is a summary of the I-K-Mediary Network Workshop, held at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Brighton, in November 2009. The event brought together 32 of the new generation of research intermediaries to share experiences, learn together and discuss future collaboration. This report captures the thinking and learning that emerged on intermediary work and its contribution to development; and on how principles and tools in monitoring and evaluation, web 2.0, marketing, capacity development and policy mapping can further intermediary work. The report also outlines collaborative activities that the network is committed to undertaking in the future.
