The provision of decent housing to millions of Filipinos has always been the goal of the government. However, not much has been achieved. This article discusses in detail the plans, programs and strategies that the government has been taking to resolve the task of providing shelter to every Filipinos. The proposed legislation filed in the House and the Senate and how it might affect or support the government programs are also reviewed.
