The paper presents the details of the Financial Center Master Plan, a site plan involving the construction and development of a complex housing the major financial institutions of the country. The center is to be located at the Manila Bay coastline beside the PICC/CPP Complex. The site plan sets forth planning and design requirements derived from the planning goals and objectives. It aims to: (1) establish a physical development pattern which will accommodate growth and change requirements; (2) develop a land use pattern which will promote compatibility among various activities; (3) establish a safe and adequate vehicular circulation pattern; (4) establish a safe and convenient pedestrian circulation system; (5) formulate an outdoor space system; and (6) establish building envelopes that will be appropriate to the desired image.
