This paper discusses the results of the study entitled, "Building Sustainable and Disaster Resilient Informal Settlement Communities" under the program on "Environmental Planning and Governance Towards Sustainable and Resilient Communities at Selected Priority Areas in Metro Manila and Laguna De Bay Regions." The study aimed to translate the technical and scientific data and community-related initiatives into a policy and plan of action for disaster risk reduction and management.
