The Philippine Institute for Development Studies, through the Socioeconomic Research Portal for the Philippines (SERP-P) project, held a virtual forum featuring relevant studies of selected SERP-P partner-institutions on the theme “Breaking Barriers for a More Inclusive Future for Women” in support of the National Women’s Month. This event was held on March 2, 2023, from 9:00 to 11:30 am, via Zoom. It is the third installment of the SERP-P knowledge-sharing webinar series, one of SERP-P’s efforts to help its partners disseminate their knowledge outputs, strengthen research networking within the SERP-P Network, and promote SERP-P as a platform for evidence-based discussion of current and emerging development issues.
SERP-P (https://serp-p.pids.gov.ph/) is an online knowledge resource developed and maintained by PIDS. It contains socioeconomic studies and materials produced by PIDS, government agencies, research and academic institutions, and international organizations based in the Philippines. Its establishment in 2000 is in line with the Institute’s mandates of providing a common link between the government and research institutions and establishing an open-access repository of socioeconomic information that policymakers and development practitioners, researchers, educators, and students can use. The SERP-P Network has more than 60 partner-institutions to date.
