Clinton in Barong: Reflections on Culture, Nationalism and Globalization in a Time of APEC

Utilizing perspectives drawn from economic anthropology, this paper attempts to shift from the formalist definitions of economics and economic systems and looks into economics as a culture. The main focus of this paper is about APEC as a transnational body formed out of divergent economic interests. And how these dynamics translate into cultural expressions.
