The study of administrative history : Philippine public administration as an ahistorical discipline

The transnational Third Sector, also sometimes called global civil society, is emerging as an important avenue for action of many socially-oriented political activists. As such, it is also becoming a fertile field of study, since research must keep abreast of action, if not go before it, to aid scholars and citizens alike in their understanding of the human condition. As a modest contribution to this endeavor, this article tackles the pre-theory phase of delineating what would be the scope and purview of this emerging object of study, discourse and political action.
