This policy monograph presents an analysis of the challenges and opportunities open to Thailand once trade liberalization such as AFTA takes full effect in the country. The discussion also touches on AFTA’s potential implications on the environment. Key policy measures are identified toward the end, citing actions that are needed for Thailand to reap local benefits from AFTA while addressing regional and global concerns affecting the country.
