The paper examines 135 cooperative entrepreneurs in 45 Bulacan cooperatives. It analyses the contribution of cooperative entrepreneurs using Schumpeterian concept. It explores innovation for the past six years by looking at its type, its degree of success, origin, impact on members and on the organization. It compares the performance of cooperatives using growth rate and measures total factor productivity (TFP) using data envelopment analysis (DEA) Malmquist Index. Findings show that 79 percent of Bulacan cooperatives is efficient with an average productivity growth of 6.2 percent per year. This is mainly attributed to technical progress or innovation which grows at an average of seven percent annually.
