This book, which consists of four papers under a project funded by the Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR), focuses on the field of resource management and sustainability that is critical to agricultural management practices and development. It also gives premium to the institutional issues in the areas of property rights, land, water, fishery and forestry, including an evaluation of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) and other tenure-related government programs. Certainly, the four main papers in this book are significant in that they present strategies for the policy, regulatory and institutional frameworks crucial not only in promoting but also in enforcing efficient, effective, equitable and sustainable agricultural growth for the country.
