Given the major contribution of the private sector to the country’s economic growth, and its contribution to reducing poverty, including in rural areas, the Government places considerable emphasis on supporting private sector development. MEDCo is the designated permanent Philippine Coordinating Office for BIMP-EAGA (PCOBE). As such, it is responsible for coordinating the Philippines Government activities related to BIMP-EAGA.
