This paper attempts to evaluate the economic and social impact of a rural electrification project in Cagayan Valley. The assessment has been focused on development variables such as income, productivity, employment, energy, education and health and it involves a two-stage process. First stage concerns the assessment of the progress of rural electrification in terms of coverage, utilization and constraints has been assessed. Second stage engages in the evaluation of the electrification project in terms of its impact on the intended areas.
