The study evaluates the impact of the performance/operations of four specialized hospitals, namely, Lung Center of the Philippines, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Philippine Children's Medical Center and the Philippine Heart Center relative to health/medical services. The study determines the extent of subsidy granted to these specialized hospitals and its impact on their operations. It recommends the continued government support for said institutions as this enable them to carry out broader coverage of and sustained services.
