In the Philippines, violent conflicts have resulted in forced displacement, increasing marginalization and poverty. A creative exchange training was held for 29 kids from seven schools and organizations. The project aims to increase students' capacity to raise awareness about conflict-induced displacement using innovative techniques. The videos are intended to be educational and informational resources for other youngsters and the broader public. "Imahe" is a digital multi-media play that promotes unifying solutions to problems to foster peace.
The completed doodle movies have been delivered to the Department of the Interior and Local Government for further distribution and to the Butuan City Library for storage and usage as a learning resource. The Sangguniang Kabataan, the local youth council, has vowed to continue the programs and advocate on behalf of the children.
